Introducing the first AZPA Quarterly Portfolio Review, hosted at Northlight Gallery with Curator Liz Allen.

Are you looking to understand how your work “comes across” to a professional curator? Are you ready to push yourself to the next level? This is the event for you! The first portfolio review in our new quarterly series will be conducted in person at Northlight Gallery.

There are only five review sessions available to AZPA members only on a first-come first-served basis. Other AZPA members whose work is not being reviewed may register to attend in person or online. This event will allow reviewed artists to receive a fresh perspective on their work from a professional curator, and participating observers will see how a portfolio review event is structured.

Liz Allen will offer feedback on member’s prints and artist statements, and provide a sense of how to talk about their work. The portfolio review process is about raising the level of work, giving reviewed artists and viewers alike something to strive for. The in-person participants will have 20 minutes to present actual prints and discuss their work with Liz.

Online attendees will have the opportunity to hear invaluable feedback and can ask questions at the end of the reviews.

Participating Artist Instructions
Printed images (5–20 prints)
Work must be from a single cohesive body of work
Artist Statement of 200-350 words

Prior to the event, participating artists will provide a PDF to be shared with the curator and viewers. Details provided in ticketing confirmation. The AZPA Quarterly Portfolio Review Series is a benefit with membership. Members receive a one-time free portfolio review. This first-come first-served event is limited to five members, but an unlimited number of online attendees.
