Alex Turner: Virtual Artist Talk

Join us for a virtual artist talk with Alex Turner to hear about his ethereal, haunting images taken along the US/Mexico border. In his Blind River series, Turner’s work uses imaging technologies to highlight sociopolitical and environmental concerns along the U.S./Mexico border. An MFA graduate of the University of Arizona in 2020, Alex was was awarded the university’s Carson Scholarship and N-Gen Sonoran Desert Researchers Grant for his interdisciplinary research and artwork.
This virtual event will be presented on Zoom and is free for all Arizona Photography Alliance members, and open to non-members with a pay-what-you-wish tax-deductible donation ($5 suggested). Registered attendees will receive a link in their order confirmation, and by email 48 hours prior to the event, with a reminder email 24 hours prior.
