Join Center for Creative Photography (CCP) March 25, 2021 at 5:30 PM (AZ) for a live conversation with award-winning photographer Mark McKnight and Dr. Audrey Sands, Norton Family Assistant Curator of Photography.
This free virtual event will stream live on the Center’s Youtube and Facebook pages. There is no registration required.
McKnight and Sands will discuss the legacy of acclaimed twentieth-century photographer Frederick Sommer and McKnight’s long-standing interest in Sommer’s life and work. The conversation will look at works by both artists and explore a range of overlapping themes and intersections, including: desert modernism, landscape, influence, education, the erotics of formalism, surrealism, sexuality, and the body.
