Please join us for an evening of friendship and conversation while we try as artists to figure out the ‘Why’. AZPA Members Cyd Peroni, Nancy Miiller and Dennis Collins will give a casual presentation of their work, talk about what lead them to it, and why they do what they do.

Nancy Miiller has been exploring in camera multiple exposures for many years. In her recent portfolio Luminance, she has utilized the process of making Gesso Prints on vellum. Nancy will share how she learned about the Gesso print process and will share examples of work in process, showing each of the steps to achieve the luminous effect.

Cyd Peroni has been making black-and-white gilded prints of nature subjects on vellum paper for the past five years. She will share work-in-process prints that mark experimental new directions for her gold leaf pieces: full color, the figure as subject, and a new substrate.

Dennis L. Collins has been working in Archaic processes since his thesis at the Center for Creative Studies in Detroit. Having worked in Silver Gelatin, Platinum, and Carbon, the work he will present is a new direction for him. Influenced by Cyd’s work he is ‘revisiting’ older images in a new way.
