A friend who worked as a manager for a large construction company asked me to see if I could take some artistic looking photos of the buildings in a large project his company had completed the previous year, as he wanted to use one of the photos as a gift. This is one of the several hundred photos I took over two days at the project location. I decided to experiment with limited depth of field to see how it would enhance the abstract minimalism look I was still in the early stages of developing for myself, and which I still often currently work.
I like that though it is evident that there are several nuts attached to bolts protruding from pieces of wood, all aligned … rather lost in its space, the contradictory illusion of something tightly bolted together, yet unconnected to any base or foundation or structure.
