Resilience started while I was walking with a camera in hand where sparse greenery clung to the surrounding ancient walls, and I thought about how the land can mirror people’s lives. Later, as I hand stitched the printed photograph, the idea became clear; the resilience of the plant would represent the perseverance of a person. I had found the words to describe what I had intuitively felt looking through the camera lens. My muse or inspiration is intuition. It’s intuition that sparks my imagination and guides the creative process.
